Hello, I started taking pics of buses and coaches by the end of 1994. In the beginning I photographed some trams as well. Actually, I somtimes take pics of trucks and planes as well. Besides picturing, I try to keep lists of all Belgian operated and manufactured buses and coaches, and all Luxemburg operated buses and coaches. Don't hesitate to get in toach with me if you have questions

Other facts about me:

I have uploaded pictures from 9 countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Jamaica, Latvia, Luxembourg, Spain and Switzerland).

These are my 73 pictures:

On our departing trip going further South I noticed this old Mercedes 508D, it was the Jonckheere logo above the Mercedes star that made me stop. This oldtimer is still in service for this kayak company, as back-up for their other, younger, vehicles. For specialists, Jonckheere serial number is 12002, this will give an idea of production year.

Belgium - Brussels Airport - 4 August 1998
Autocars Dierickx (ceased operations in 2008) was for decades the tarmac bus subcontractor of our former national flag carrier Sabena. This small citybus was bought new in 1992 and wears the Sabena vehicle livery of the 90's. As far as I know, it was only used for carrying Sabena staff on the tarmac, never for passenger transport. It was nearly always used for the rush hour service "0 all areas", althoug it was equipped with the paper displays for lines 1 and 2. The display of line 1 on this pic was just put for my picture, after that it was switch back to "0 all areas". On its left, Van Hool A120IC nr 37, bought new in 1989. This one had Man engine and a manual gearbox. It it preserved today.

Belgium - Brussels - 25 August 1997
This bus was bought in 1992 and wears the Sabena vehicle livery of the 80's. Bus is on Dierickx' parking in Brussels City (Birmingham street). Aside there are a S140 and a S215SL in the 90's livery. Those 3 buses could be seen frequently in Brussels city, because beside driving on Brussels Airport they were driving on school and factory services as well. Sabena went into bankruptcy by the end of 2001.

Belgium - Brussels - 18 May 1998
This coach is one of the prototypes of the "T9 Prestige" range. When launching the T9 range in 10/1995, Van Hool announced that there would be a "Prestige" range within this T9 range. These vehicles would be more luxurious equipped and have another body design. Some of these prototypes received a Detroit Diesel engine, but this one got the standard MAN engine. And finally, for unkown reasons, the Prestige range was never put in serial production. By the way, this T916 Altano is the only 2 axled T9 Altano until now, all others are 3 axled.

This is 1 of the only 2 ever produced 15m T8 Altano. Logically it would be T820, but as this was already the Amarant lightweight dubbeldecker of the 80's, this Altano official typename is T20. Both of them were produced in the colours of touroperator JetAir. This one was delivered to Limburg International of Overpelt. This company uses planet names instead of fleet numbers to identify its vehicles. When pictured it was ready to leave for Spain. Sorry for the low quality, scanned slideprint again.
